Garlic Butter King Oyster Mushroom

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 king oyster mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: a squeeze of lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Prep the mushrooms: Slice the king oyster mushrooms lengthwise into thick strips.
  2. Heat the pan: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Let the butter melt.
  3. Cook garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, but not browned.
  4. Add mushrooms: Place the mushroom slices in the pan in a single layer. Let them cook undisturbed for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and slightly crispy.
  5. Season: Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss gently so the mushrooms absorb the garlic butter.
  6. Finish: Optional—add a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.
  7. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve as a side dish, over pasta, or with crusty bread.
